The Customer Support Business Group focuses on enabling our customers with premier customer support throughout their lifecycle with Lam. We drive performance, productivity, safety, and quality of customers installed base performance and deliver service and lifecycle solutions for their most critical equipment and processes.
The impact you’ll make
In this role located in Villach, Austria, the Senior Applications Engineer within CSBG/Reliant will support the successful penetration of Lam’s SWC products with focus on specialty technologies including advanced packaging, power, CIS, RF. This role will be the primary technical interface between the customer, field and Lam and must be capable of understanding and explaining how Reliant offerings can address the customer’s current problems and future technology nodes as well integration challenges being addressed by these systems.
What you’ll do
- Understanding customer requirements and presenting on demonstrations to address these needs.
- Understanding of customer applications within specialty and advanced packaging markets, integration challenges, and layer level requirements.
- Holding working group meetings with customer to include preparation, alignment, management of projects, and definition of success criteria.
- Updating both customer and Lam management and executives on project status and direction.
- Coordinating agreed upon demos between all groups and product groups involved.
- Customer Specifications responses and technical marketing presentations.
- Technical management for new customer applications.
- Focus on integration challenges and layer level requirements for customer devices with specific focus on specialty technologies.
- Understanding of integration around advanced packaging applications.
Who we’re looking for
- Minimum BSc in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Physics - PhD would be preferred.
- 10+ years’ experience in program or project management at relevant area of expertise.
- 15+ years’ experience working with customers in the semiconductors industry environment.
What We're Offering
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group H depending on educational background. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
