Software & QA Engineer (m/f/d)
CUAS is looking for a software engineer who is supporting the development of an e-Campus within the ACE2-EU Alliance (The Applied, Connected, Entrepreneurial and Engaged European University - ACE2-EU). The Alliance is ded-icated to advancing an ambitious and visionary university alliance emphasizing excellence, innovation, and inclusion in higher education through active and applied learning approaches). The e-Campus, which will be developed throughout the project period, will act as the alliance's digital platform for all our digital and IT systems in order to operate and support all the activities, systems, and services of our inter-university campus. Your Tasks
- Develop and implement the e-Campus in partnership with IT specialists from the other partner universities of the ACE2EU alliance
- Work closely in partnership with the local e-Campus coordinator and IT specialists from partner universities.
- Participate in end-user workshops and other meetings to learn about and consider specific needs from CUAS end-users in e-Campus software solutions
- Define user and system requirements and interoperable middleware specifications
- Implement the diverse modules of the e-Campus by integrating new features and connection of existing ones with those of partner universities
- Test, run, assess, and revise the pilot’s operational conditions
Your Profile
- Completed professional education/successful school-leaving certificate (Matura desirable, vocational school, university degree is an advantage)
- Software development skills, especially knowledge in #C programming language and .Net frameworks
- Basic knowledge of software quality assurance (QA) practices, including writing and executing test cases, identifying bugs, and understanding test automation principles
- Strong self-organization skills and precision
- Ability to work in a team, high degree of self-responsibility, and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work collaboratively in an international envi-ronment.
- Willingness to familiarize yourself with the university-specific system
- Ideally, you are used to rapidly changing requirements and deadlines
- English language skills (min. level C1, W/S, proven knowledge)
- German language skills (min. level B2, in W/S)

Employment level: 8 hours per week
Time limit: The position is offered for 1 year (with possible extension based on project needs and funding)

Location: Remote Work, sometimes Campus Villach, Europastrasse 4, 9524 Villach for coordination purposes
Salary: In Austria we are legally obliged to state the minimum salary which starts at least at EUR 3.120,13 gross per month (40 hours/full-time, 14 salaries). A higher salary might be taken into consideration depending on qualifications and work experience.
