The impact you’ll make
As a Technical Program Manager at Lam, you are not just overseeing projects – you’re orchestrating breakthroughs in support of [insert strategic initiative]. You’ll lead cross-functional teams through successful project execution blending your technical excellence with strategic planning to deliver new or upgraded products. Your role is vital, owning technical projects from initiation through delivery using your expertise in planning, directing, and monitoring schedules and budget.
What you’ll do
- Delivers commitment and communication of delivery dates for all assigned systems (Manufacturing Completion Date)
- Drives and coordinates gap reductions between planned- and actual milestones
- Tracks system readiness and provide early warnings/gaps that may affect commitments and pursue all necessary escalation steps
- Serves as deputy to the Area Manager and assumes functional leadership responsibilities as subject matter expert
- Works with Sales Operations, Configuration Support and Engineering to assure design readiness to support overall project timelines, especially Special Customer Requests
- Coordinates timelines with Engineering, Program Management and Pilot operations for new products and customer Evaluation Requests (EVRs)
- Performs continuous System Lead Time Assessment – working with a cross functional team to assess complexity level of a slotted tool and suggest a proper lead time
- Cooperates within Change Management processes – assessing impact of changes on delivery commitments, such as late configuration changes and Manufacturing slot changes
- Engages in Escalation and resolution of issues affecting timely delivery of assigned systems and modules from Remote Factories
- Monitoring shipping acceptance according to required configuration and QA standards
- Ensures closure and completion of open deviation items, participation to cross functional teams, aimed to improving processes related to all of the above (root cause corrective action and process gap awareness)
Who we’re looking for
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or relevant work experience of 10+ years
- Extensive knowledge of the manufacruing process within the Wet-Clean Product
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills and desire to learnAbility to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
- Ability to break down barriers and build consensus among project team members
- Flexibility and agility to manage change effectively
- Experience guiding cross-functional teams and demonstrating leadership and influence skills to deliver results
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills with the ability to present to audiences at all levels in the Company (English and German)
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in or knowledge of Semiconductor fabrication, Semiconductor Equipment Operations, or related industries is a plus
- Knowledge of Program Management methods and experience in Product Development & Release (PDR) procedures
- Relevant project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, Scrum Master, or PRINCE2
- Experience in Lean Six Sigma methodology or certification (Green Belt, Black Belt) is a plus
- Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies
- Expertise with project management software and tools including MS Project, QuickBase, Office Timeline, or equivalent
- Experience in Change Management methodologies is a plus
What We're Offering
This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group G. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
