Junior Global Product Support Engineer (all genders)

In the Global Products Group, we are dedicated to excellence in the design and engineering of Lam's etch and deposition products. We drive innovation to ensure our cutting-edge solutions are helping to solve the biggest challenges in the semiconductor industry. 

The impact you’ll make

As a Global Product Support Engineer, you'll work with cutting-edge semiconductor technology and help solve technical challenges together with experienced engineers and technicians. You'll learn how to analyze equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and support customers around the world. With structured training and mentorship, you'll build valuable technical skills and develop into a subject matter expert in one of the most innovative industries.

What you’ll do

• Provide service, maintenance, and repair support for advanced high-tech equipment at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Install, start up, and relocate equipment when required.
• Perform diagnostics and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
• Support equipment upgrades and engineering changes.
• Read and work with electrical and mechanical drawings, diagrams, and manuals.
• Maintain accurate service and project documentation.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams to ensure excellent service.
• Support and execute smaller technical projects and gradually take ownership of more complex tasks.

Who we’re looking for

• Completed technical education (HTL) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a similar field
• Strong interest in technology and problem-solving.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and customer-focused.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with changing priorities.
• Willingness to travel frequently.

What We're Offering

This position will be occupied in Villach. It is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in occupation group E, depending on Education.  A higher payment is negotiable depending on expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year.
