- Review, analyze and process purchase requisitions
- Process purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers
- Manage purchase order releases daily to meet demand requirements
- Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departmentsto acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner
- Work with the suppliers on a daily basis to assure scheduled deliveries are met
- Understand, maintain weekly reports
- Develop and maintain key supplier relationships with day-to-day interface (peer level) toreview open action items, suppliers performance to commitments of on time deliveries, future demand and future cost reductions forecasting

- work continuously on process improvement to deploy & develop best known methods related to procurement, inventory control (e.g., Consignment, JIT, Kanban, min/max) & manufacturing strategies
- encourage and coordinate early supplier involvement in highly technical and/or contractually complex new products parts design using the suppliers’ expertise to optimize quality and manufacturability
- establish goals with supplier to ensure material delivery meet forecasted demand
- act as an escalation point to resolve shortages
- represent supplier business management on cross-functional commodity teams that focus on supply challenges, and to ensure internal/external customer needs are satisfied
- work with engineering and the supplier to resolve complex problems, to ensure on time delivery of critical material in order to support customer and company requirements
- develop presentations, white papers, process flow charts to support continuous process improvement projects

- Mitwirkung bei Make or Buy sowie Total Cost of Ownership -Entscheidungen
- Kennzahlenauswertung, Datenanalyse, Benchmark Analyse, Lieferantenbewertungen
- Umsetzung von Kostensenkungsmaßnahmen sowie Maßnahmen zur Bestandsoptimierung
- Lieferantenmanagement inklusive Lieferantenbesuche, Mitarbeit bei Audits, Risikobewertung, Mitwirkung in der Reklamationsabwicklung bei Eskalationen
- Laufende Optimierung von Abläufen und Prozessen sowie standortübergreifende Stammdatenpflege
