Ihre Aufgaben
- Eigenverantwortliche Betreuung und Begleitung im Bereich Bewerber*innen-Management (vorwiegend englischsprachiger Studiengänge)
- Betreuung und Beratung von Bewerber*innen vor und während des Bewerbungsprozesses
- Prüfung der Zugangsvoraussetzungen nationaler und internationaler Bewerber*innen und Koordination von Aufnahmeverfahren in enger Abstimmung mit den jeweiligen Studiengängen
- Durchführung der Erstinskription
- Verwaltung und administrative Organisation der Ergänzungsprüfungen, sowie der Add On Kurse für Studienanfänger*innen
- Datenmanagement im Studienverwaltungssystem und CRM-System, Erstellung und Auswertung von Statistiken
- Persönliche sowie digitale Beratung von Interessent*innen Unterstützung bei internen und externen Veranstaltungen, wie Messen oder interne Infoveranstaltungen (z. B. Campus Day)
- Übernahme vielfältiger administrativer Aufgaben, darunter: Betreuung von Besucher*innen vor Ort, Telefonvermittlung, Lost & Found, Merchandising Verkauf und unterstützende Mitarbeit in allen Bereichen des Info - Center – Teams.

R&D Process Engineer - Thin Film Deposition (all genders)
- Develop, monitor, and optimize thin film deposition processes (primarily sputtering) to support R&D and prototype fabrication.
- Maintain tool health and stability through performance tracking, SPC monitoring, and preventive maintenance coordination.
- Support researcher use of deposition tools, ensuring safe operation, consistent process quality, and compliance with FAB standards.
- Lead and assist in tool upgrades, process capability improvements, and new equipment evaluation or acquisition.
- Document process parameters, tool performance, and experiment outcomes to ensure traceability and knowledge sharing.
- Serve as the technical interface between the fabrication team and research groups to enable efficient process development and experimentation.

Senior Research Engineer – Technology development and process integration for MEMS-based applications (all genders)
- Technology development for MEMS-based devices in various fields such as optics, acoustic, inertial sensors from concept to prototype.
- Development and implementation of DOE to improve device performance.
- Microfabrication and prototyping in cleanroom facility by using 200 mm wafer level technology.
- Advanced testing of developed MEMS devices (electrical, mechanical, acoustic, …).
- Scientific communication / reporting of research results.

Plasma R&D Process Engineering - Dry Etch / PECVD (all genders)
- Develop, optimize, and sustain plasma etch (dry etch) & deposition (PECVD) processes to support diverse R&D flows.
- Establish stable, repeatable process baselines and maintain tight control through SPC and regular performance monitoring.
- Own and maintain plasma tools, ensuring high uptime and process consistency.
- Define and document process parameters, recipes, and best practices to ensure reproducibility across experiments and flows.
- Collaborate with the process engineering team members to ensure process compatibility across the full fabrication flow.
- Lead troubleshooting, root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities to maintain high process quality and tool uptime.
- Support tool upgrades, new equipment acquisition, and capability expansion projects.

Senior Research Engineer – Quantum Photonic Integrated Circuit Design and PDK development (all genders)
- Designing photonic integrated circuits (passive components and modulators) for quantum applications based on AlN.
- Contributing to the development and validation of PDK components, including layout, simulation, and documentation.
- Generating layout from design and performing design rule checks
- Characterizing fabricated devices in the lab (optical/electrical testing) and analyzing measurement data
- Designing improvements based on characterization results to enhance device performance and yield
- Collaborating closely with process and fabrication teams to ensure high design-to-fab fidelity
- Contributing to reporting, documentation, publication, IP generation, and patent application

Senior Research Engineer - Process Development for Integrated Photonics Fabrication (all genders)
- PIC Fabrication & Development:Designing, fabricating, and testing PICs.
- Platform Specialization: Focusing primarily on process development for either Aluminum Nitride (AlN) or Thin-Film Lithium Niobate (TFLN) Platform.
- Technology ownership: Owning a platform flow (AlN or TFLN) and acting as a go-to person for fabrication topics, including coordination with cleanroom/process engineering and alignment with design/test needs. This includes mentoring and knowledge transfer, proactive risk/bottleneck identification and mitigation, and contributing to roadmap/benchmarking and experimental strategy.
- DOE- Driven process development:
- Developing and integrating process modules for stable, repeatable fabrication, increasing
- Technology Readiness Level (TRL) and pilot-line readiness.
- Planning and executing Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize processes.
- Driving process integration, stability, and performance improvements for scalable fabrication.
- Defining Process windows
- Performing data-driven root-cause analysis
- Fabrication: Hands-on work with key fabrication processes including lithography, deposition (PVD/ALD/PECVD), dry etch (ICP-RIE), metrology/SPC, and documentation/change control.
- Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Working closely with SAL’s process engineering team.
- Collaborating to ensure high fabrication fidelity.
- Supporting industry and academic collaborations within multidisciplinary projects.
- Documentation & IP:
- Reporting and thorough documentation of work.
- Contributing to IP generation and patent applications.

R&D Process Engineer - Stepper-based Lithography (all genders)
- Develop, optimize, and maintain stepper-based lithography processes for a diverse multi-project R&D environment.
- Establish repeatable process baselines and maintain control through SPC and routine performance monitoring.
- Define and document process parameters, recipes, and SOPs to support repeatable user operation.
- Own stepper tool and periphery equipment, ensuring high uptime and consistent performance for multiple technologies and flows.
- Work closely with process engineers and users to ensure lithography compatibility across varied fabrication flows.
- Work closely with equipment maintenance engineers to ensure tool health.
- Lead hands-on troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement in a fast-changing R&D setting.
- Support tool upgrades, new installations, and capability expansion projects.
